Endings and Beginnings

Posted by ChronoNomad - January 2nd, 2016

2015 has come to an end, and here we are, already on the second day of the new year and still hurtling forward in time.  I feel like 2016 is going to be an incredible year, not without the typical ups and downs, but my hope is that the rollercoaster of life eases up a bit over the next twelve months.

That said, this past year certainly wasn't all bad.  A lot of really great things have happened in my life, and hopefully that trend will continue.  My wish for you, as you take the time to read my thoughts, is that you may find much to smile about throughout year!

Think before you act.  Commit random acts of kindness.  Be less offensive and not so easily offended.

Just a few suggestions, and each one is something that I continue working on within myself.  Life is often like a weird little karma boomerang, so bad behaviour tends to come back to bite us.  Fortunately, the reverse can also be true.  Everyone talks about New Years Resolutions this time of year, but I think just wanting to be a better version of yourself is a pretty solid plan.

Oh yeah, and before I forget, here's a track I just released for Pixel Day!

And here's a full-sized version of the image I used for the CD art.  Just because.

Those are some good thoughts, you've got there :)
It would be nice to see more people, getting along better in 2016. I hope this year will be a great one :D

Aw, thanks! Yeah, that would be amazing. *sigh* A guy can dream...

I know I'll be doing my best to make it a great year, in my own small way. :)

Oops my bad. It must have been the compressor. Aren't limiters and compressors the same thing? (I don't know.)

Also, you should definitely play Undertale! It's a really special and nice game. I actually got started on it by listening to the soundtrack too.

Nothing like that actually exists on the Master channel itself, which was how it was stated in the review, so that's what I was responding to. *shrug* Odds are it's all pretty much all the same thing. I used Fruity Limiter to sidechain the kick to the bass and a couple other elements. I personally like how I used the effect, as do others I've spoken with about it, but it ultimately won't appeal to everyone's aesthetic sensibilities.

I'm hoping to sink my teeth into Undertale one day soon, but thanks to Steam sales and random Amazon gold box deals I already have a ridiculous backlog of games begging for my attention! xD Of course there are plenty of other responsibilities that take up much of my spare time, as well. (not that I wouldn't love to play them more) I've always adored the Mother series for its overall fun factor, great music, and superlative quirkiness. Heck, I probably played EarthBound all the way through at least three times. Apparently Toby Fox feels the same way!

* (just thinking about playing Undertale fills you with DETERMINATION) *
