I'm okay with basically anyone using my music, but it's always nice to hear about a particular project so I can see/hear the final result. I do like being asked, but no--it's not actually necessary. :)
The most important thing is to follow the terms set by the Common Deed license. As for you, Arin3000, I already saw your mention of using Nightmare in a Madness submission. I'm 100% behind that and I think it would be a great fit, so go for it!
